Isabel is an associate at Johnson Miller Family Lawyers. She grew up in Windsor-Essex County before pursuing her Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Communications at the University of Ottawa, eventually graduating summa cum laude. She then moved to Toronto for law school and earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, where she served as President of the Students’ Law Society, advocating for her fellow students.
Isabel has had a keen interest in family law since taking the course in law school. She gained hands-on experience working at a Toronto family law firm during the summer following her second year of law school, where her passion for the practice was truly solidified. She later returned to complete her articling term with the same firm before starting at Johnson Miller Family Lawyers as a first-year associate. In her third year of law school, Isabel worked at Downtown Legal Services in the family division, the University of Toronto’s community legal clinic, where she provided free legal assistance to individuals from low-income communities.
Isabel is excited to build on the foundation she has developed through her academic and practical experiences. She understands that family law matters are often complex and deeply personal, and she is committed to working closely with clients to help them navigate challenging circumstances and achieve meaningful outcomes.
Outside the practice of law, Isabel enjoys reading fiction novels, participating in group exercise classes, and travelling. She looks forward to rediscovering the food scene in Windsor-Essex.
